They have so many toys that tell them, with a voice, that they’re up at bat or this is the next thing that’s going to happen or you have a menu and you choose one of the options, but you never got to build the menu, or design it from scratch. The thing I notice with kids right now is that they are very programmed. You can work on something individually, you can work on something as a team. They help you problem solve, they help you develop tenacity, persistence. Hamlen: I think the arts have a lot to contribute.
